Many or all the products featured are from our partners who compensate us. However, this does not influence our evaluations and our opinions of the products have been based on our own positive experience with them.
Let’s be real - LOOKS MATTER.
We don’t like saying it but the hard fact is people do judge books by their cover and people are judging you on your appearance. I’m not saying that appearance is all that matters but most of the time people will only get to know you personally if they like what they see on the outside. Invest in your looks and watch how people will treat you better. Here I will reveal the basic habits and routines you should incorporate day to day, along with product and tool recommendations so you can give the most alluring first impression ever.
First, Find a Signature scent -
There’s nothing more attractive than when someone smells amazing. Explore different scents you think you can wear every day and that you want people to remember you by. Research what scents you’re into; do you like musky, clean, woody or sweet scents?
Once you find a scent you like, incorporate that scent with everything that you put on your body. From body wash to body lotion, body spray, body oil, and even hair products so you can create an intoxicating scent bubble and become irresistible. I loooove sweet, vanilla-based scents, so I will be basing the products listed in this article on a Vanilla signature scent as an example but feel free to switch it up based on what you’re more drawn to.
I find that although you can find some good quality perfumes on the mainstream market, it’s better to invest in high-end, more expensive perfumes as they actually last. You want people to sense your aura before you enter a room and a good way to do this is by having a lingering but not overbearing sent attached to your presence.
Below are some examples of perfumes you can start exploring along with the base notes and vibe attached.
-
BDK - Velvet Tonka - Tonka Bean Syrup
-
Kayali - Vanilla 28 - Vanilla Extract
-
Mancera - Roses Greedy - Floral Candy
-
Mugler Alien - Goddess - Coconut Vibe
-
Tom Ford - Lost Cherry - Sexy Cherry
-
Byredo - Gypsy Water - Woody Clean
Develop a Shower Routine to Enhance your Skin -
A well-rounded shower routine is the first step in improving the health and appearance of your skin, making you look more vibrant and well-groomed. Incorporating a self-care practice during your shower can address specific concerns like dryness or irritation.
People will not take the time and effort to get to know you if you don’t show you make the effort in maintaining basic personal hygiene. This will help you smell good without the need for heavy perfume.
Two of the best compliments you can have is that your skin is soft and that you smell good. And you can start getting those compliments by having a shower routine.
-
About 2-3x a week Dry Brush your entire body in upwards motions towards your heart to help promote blood flow BEFORE you enter the shower. This will help remove dead skin cells and keep your skin soft.
-
Once a week exfoliate with a scented oily sugar body scrub to further remove any built-up dead skin cells. The PraNaturals Brown Sugar Body Scrub is an oily crystalised sugar scrub which is the perfect consistency for removing dead skin but keeping your skin smooth and glowy at the same time because of the oil.
-
Once you’re in the shower first wash yourself with a simple, clean, unscented body wash/bar of soap with an Exfoliating Cloth and then go in the second time with a scented body wash that will compliment your signature scent. Dove Products get the job done and are great for sensitive skin. If your Signature Scent has notes of Tonka Bean, you have to find a body wash that has sweet undertones that will compliment it, such as vanilla, sugar, shea butter etc. Philosophy Vanilla Birthday Cake Body wash is a soft vanilla fragrance that will match any sweet scent.
-
Then exfoliate your feet with a rough pumice stone (if your feet can take it). Regular pumice stones do absolutely nothing for my feet so I use the Volcanic Lava Pumice Foot Stone. Due to the larger holes they have, they are more rough in comparison to regular pumice stones and are therefore great at smoothening out and getting rid of cracks in your heels.
-
Whilst your body is still damp apply Aveeno Body Oil to lock in the moisture of the water and to add a glow to your skin.
- Pat your skin dry with a towel. DO NOT rub the towel on your skin as this can 1. Remove the moisture you’ve just added and 2. Irritate your skin

Have an After Shower Routine -
Glowy, Smooth and Subtle Skin instantly makes you more attractive because your skin will look youthful, healthy and a Victoria’s Secret Angel… So create a Body Care Routine that will add to your Scent Bubble.
-
Deodorant. As soon as you’re out of the shower put on deodorant or Use Glycolic Acid from The Ordinary if you have stubborn body odour and hyperpigmentation.
-
Then go in with your most moisturising, silky, hydrating body lotion that also compliments your signature scent all over your body. For me, the EOS Vanilla Cashmere Body Lotion makes your skin feel silky smooth and smells like vanilla cupcakes.
-
Spray your body down with a body spray but not just any body spray… One that compliments your Signature Scent. Victoria’s Secret bare Vanilla is a classic and suitable for any sweet scent base.
-
If you want to look extra glowy add more body oil on the skin parts you will be showing. If you have your collarbone out, add oil to highlight it as your collarbone is one of the sexiest body parts you have. Now if you want to look like a walking Victoria’s Secret Angel spray a glitter setting spray on top, as it will give you a subtle shimmer without it feeling sticky and heavy like some shimmer oils do. The Iconic London Prep-Set-Go is perfect for this and comes in 2 different shades for different skin tones.
-
The last step is for your feet. If you want extra soft feet use an Electric Foot File and then go in with a foot balm. NOT cream, a Balm. The Electric foot exfoliator is amazing at making your heels smooth and free from cracks and a balm like the Flexitol Heel Relief Balm is going to be thicker than a cream which is perfect as your feet’s skin is harder than the rest of your body.

Having a Simple Skin Care Routine -
You need to get your skin in check. You’re just going to feel overall better and be comfortable in your skin if you have clearer skin. So get a dermatologist, do your research, eat better and buy products based on your skin type.
The simpler the routine the better. I personally feel that the internet is overdoing it with the 10-step skincare routines. 4/5 Clean ingredient products are all you need unless a dermatologist says otherwise, but this is what I find works for me. I don't see the need to use all these acids, serums and exfoliants if you find a good face wash which is going to remove the impurities from your skin anyway, and a moisturizer to hydrate your skin to keep it looking youthful.
-
Find a gentle, simple face wash, brands such as Cetaphil, Avene, Lo Roche-posay, and Cerave all have good ingredients in them and are dermatologist-approved.
-
Have a hydrating face moisturizer that is light on the face such as the Cetaphil Daily Moisturiser or the Avene Tolerance Control Moisturiser for sensitive skin.
-
Use Eye Cream only if have dark and dehydrated under eyes! If you don't then there’s no need for an eye cream!! An eye cream with Retinol like the Beauty of Joseon Revive Retinol Eye Serum is great at brightening your under eyes and is low maintenance because you only need to apply it 2-3x a week.
-
A mineral sunscreen such as the Haruharu Wonder Mineral Sunscreen is better than normal SPF however they are known to leave a white cast on certain skin tones. The Haruharu Wonder mineral sunscreen does have a white cast when you first apply it but absorbs into the skin after a couple of minutes. If you don’t want to deal with the white-cast at all I suggest the IsnTree Hyaluronic Acid Water Sun Gel, It absorbs into the skin so nicely and feels like you wearing nothing on your skin yet is hydrating like a moisturiser.
-
Use Micellar water to remove your makeup. Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water and Garnier Cleansing Water are the best options for this..
Dedicate a Hair Care Routine around what your hair is lacking -
Hair is everything in my opinion. If you have a bad hair day you don’t feel good. It frames your face and when you have fabulous hair it elevates your overall appearance even if you're not wearing the best outfit.
My Tips:
-
Find a hairstyle that frames and suits your face shape by experimenting with different hair partings.
-
Buy a non-sulfate Shampoo and Conditioner that will help with what your hair is lacking. If you have dry, frizzy hair buy hydrating and smoothing products. The Redken All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner are Pricey but so worth it as they leave my hair feeling soft after every wash.
-
Use Hair masks once a week before washing your hair and then use leave-in conditioners for added softness. The Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Mask range has loads of Masks for different targets. I really like the Garnier Ultimate Blends Coconut Oil Hair Mask Treatment to help with dryness and frizziness.
-
Take hair vitamins to maintain the health of your hair and add length. I’ve actually noticed a difference in how much my hair has grown taking the Yumi Biotine Gummies for Hair, Skin and Nails and they taste like sweets.
-
Scalp oiling before washing your hair is amazing for hair growth but you have to use multiple different organic oils and make your concoction with a Hair-oiling bottle, applying it to your scalp and leaving it on for 30 minutes to an hour max. Massage into the Scalp using your fingers or a Scalp Massager and rinse. Use oils such as Jojoba Oil, Mustard Seed Oil, Castor Oil, Rosemary Oil, Macadamia Oil and Almond Oil for healthy long Hair.
-
If you have curly hair, look up curly hair routines with the same hair patterns as you so you can style it naturally.
-
Pick a hair colour that best compliments your skin tone.
Invest In Your Lashes -
There’s just something about long, fluttering eyelashes that makes you more alluring. Add lash serum to your night routine to add length to your lashes and do monthly lash lifts either done by a professional or using an at-home lash lift kit.
Tip: Make sure to use a lash serum that doesn’t have Prostaglandin hormones in it as it can cause some weird side effects such as dark under eyes. The Glow For It Lash serum is amazing, Vegan and completely prostaglandin-free.
The Lash kit recommended below is better than others because it has air-tight pump bottles for the perm solution as once the solution is in contact with air it loses its effectiveness over time.
Having your Nails and Toes done at all times -
ALWAYS have your nails and toes done, even in winter. I don’t care if no one is going to see your toes, when your toes and nails are done you will feel like ‘that girl.
You will automatically look put together with fresh clean clean-looking nails and will add to your confidence which will add to your aura. Plus I don’t know about you but when I see my nails looking cute it gives me an instant dopamine hit and just makes me happy.
It can be costly to get them done every month but if you invest in an at-home nail kit and learn to do them yourself you’re set for life.
In terms of styles and shapes:
-
Natural, light-coloured nails are the best. They give off classy and clean vibes and when your nails grow out it’s not noticeable that you’re due for an in-fill.
-
Personally I feel Biab is the best for your nails if you want to grow them out. BIAB can help strengthen the nail and give a natural finish, whereas acrylics can be too chunky sometimes.
-
Experiment with different nail shapes that will suit your hands, But SHORT almond, tapered square and rounded square are the best natural shapes if you want to come across as soft feminine and put together. Long nails are a questionable choice but stick to what’s true to you.
Take care of your Oral Hygiene -
Nobody likes bad breath. So of course brush your teeth daily.
Here are some tips to maintain your oral hygiene from when you wake, throughout the day and when you go to sleep.
-
In the morning, before you eat breakfast and before brushing your teeth try oil-pulling by swishing Organic Coconut Oil for 15-20 minutes to help with overall dental health, freshen your breath and whiten your teeth.
-
Use a Tongue Scraper after brushing your teeth because a white tongue is not cute.
-
The Breath Co. mouthwash keeps your breath free from odour literally all day and all night.
-
Carry dental floss or toothpicks in your bag for when you eat outside.
-
Always carry a pack of gum or mints with you.
-
Gradually whiten your teeth with either the first step (oil-pulling) or using Crest teeth whitening strips once per month.
- Vita Coco Coconut Oil
- Tongue Scraper
- The Breath Co. Mouth Wash
- Crest Teeth Whitening Strips
Prioritise your Health -
Make an effort to stay active. People are generally attracted to individuals who look healthy, so keep your body in shape.
There are so many ways in which you can stay fit that don’t require you to do hardcore workouts. You’ve already heard it before but the benefits of moving your body aren’t just physical but also have mental benefits.
You don’t need to do any crazy diets but eat everything in moderation. Incorporate greens with every meal, make celery juice in the morning, and try to consume less sugar and salt with your meals.
Feed your body with things that make you feel good long-term instead of satsifying your cravings in the moment.
You can start by:
-
Going to the gym 3 - 4x a week
-
Walking for 30 minutes to an hour 5 days a week
-
Doing at-home pilates workouts or booking pilates sessions with friends
-
Jogging at your local park
These 9 steps and routines serve as the groundwork for transforming your overall appearance and are the foundational steps for creating the most alluring and attractive aura. Make sure you stay consistent to ensure you see results so you can become your dream self. However, there are still many more practices to add to your glow-up journey so stay tuned for future articles where I will unveil further tips and tricks.
